Me. Curly or straight? Fringe or no fringe? Brown or red?

Clashing Brights.

My top fashion moments from blogs etc. this year

My top 10 girls of the year

Tallulah Morton

Daisy Lowe

Jen Brill

Helena Christensen

Lou Doillon

Sarah Jessica Parker

Diane Kruger

Alice Dellal

Georgia May Jagger

Pixie Geldof

There has been many great fashion moments of the year. I really cannot keep up, I really like these 10 but it changes all the time. But hey I wanted to post. 10 great outfits from the sophisticated to daring. Loved this dress that Diane wore (I think to the MET ball), highly underrated- the length was great ad the colour and that diamond encrusted strap. I love Helena's take on the black suit- the jacket and barely there shorts are a great material and a great cut. Helena is highly underrated and underlooked in the fashion world. Jen's campaign with Sophomore was great and she really gave the clothes life. The zipper skirt with this colourful top was probably my favourite from the collection. Lou, do I have to say anymore? Alice is scruffy but original. Her hair will always be her hair. The Alexander W dress- well I cannot even describe. It makes Henry Hollands sheer polka dot dress seem AWFUL. Pixie is one of the great dressers that epitomises a certain young, London scene and I like her style. This is a great example- a simple black silky string top tucked into a mini white number, But she wears it with a fierce attitude and has the hair and the cheekbones to match. I think I discovered Daisy Lowe in 2006 and I have to say her style isn't what is once was, perhaps less individual as 2007 but she still continues to be fashion forward.
I know SJP has disappointed many this year but I love her! I was going to choose the Balmin dress she wore recently as the chosen pic but I think this outfit is truly gorgeous and perfect for her. The jewellery, the dress, the soes the Chanel jacket and the Chanel coat. Tallulah is someone I have only discovered this year- thanks to the cobrasnake. I reckon she could be massive in the modelling world- she is only 17. I love the particular colour of the fur coat and the way in which the grey t-shirt underneath compliments it so well even though it looks like she literally has thrown it on and the white skinny jeans with that to-die-for pattern completes the look. Georgia- a Jagger it still young is only in the process of being a London fashion figure and in 2009 I think she will be taken seriously by more and more people. She has her own little twist. So watch this space!

Topshop jacket

I bought this lovely black fringe jacket from TopShop at the weekend. It was £60 reduced to £30- I had my beady eye on it for a while. And a certain Miss. Miller was pictured wearing it.

Alexa Chung

Pictures are Courtesy of the Cobra Snake.
So let's discuss Alexa's outfit.
Hmm. It's nice/okay. But nice doesn't cut it. Frankly I'm fed up of this whole biker-style black leather jacket. I got fed up of my £100 Topshop one aaages ago. And so should Alexa. She seems to be in a stlye rut. I know people might say this is her 'signature look.' I'm not a big fan of Agyness Deyn's hype and fashion sense but a least she consistently changes her look. Alexa always seems to be tying her hair back in that messy bun style too. Okay I quite like her 'hero' top. The Chanel star shirt gives me the deja-vu factor (she also has a matching star ring). But it's not the worst. She is also wearing Chanel pumps.
I do like the ecclectic mix of necklaces. Personally, I'm conservative when it comes to the old silver/gold mix of jewellery. But to be fair Chung pulls it off with great aplomb. It seems that perhaps Alexa is best at accessorizing her outfits.
My point of this post, I guess is the 'fatigue factor' with this style of dressing. It was different and now it is generic. I just want to go off and dress madly- and rebel against this type of dressing. Which all Topshop girls want to pull off (ha). Yes there are nice things, okay things and bad things about this dressing. But now it makes me want to yawn. There are just so many girls in The 'Cory Kennedy clan' (as discotheque confusion has referred to in the past). These heroin/waif like, poor little rich girl, 'indie rocker' are in overoad. It seems all these girls in this club date(d) a musician or has a dad who is an international rock-star.

Georgia May Jagger

A mix between Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldof.

Georgia is the perfect rock 'n' roll princess. She's almost as cool as her sister Lizzy.

The hair.
Those Lips.
The Clothes.

Enough said.

PS: Check out this website:http://www.algaran.com/. I recommend their day cream and night cream. Personally I love seaweed products on my skin and Algaran is no exception- really good quality stuff and very affordable prices. This is great http://www.algaran.com/product_info.php?products_id=38 for a little present for someone and a stocking filler.

Miss. Moss does British Vogue December 2008

When you compare it to Kate Winslet's shoot/cover for Vanity Fair it's nothing out of the ordinary. Strange how Vogue UK had Moss for their Otober 2008 issue (she was a cover star for Vogue UK in March of this year aswell). They just love Kate M so much.

Anyway have a look at the vogue cover archives:
http://www.vogue.co.uk/magazine/issue.aspx/Archive.

Vodianova owns it. We'll forgive her for gracing the cover with Jonny Borrell of Razorlight in May 2007.

Who's on your favourite cover?

Katie Holmes' shoes

Katie was seen wearing these shoes yesterday. I've spotted a similar pair (but in a chocolate colour) on the ASOS site& they're in the sale!

Leone Lewis has wore this actual pair. They're only £18.

Here's the link to have a look: http://www.asos.com/Leona-Lewis/Asos/Asos-Gladiator-Platform-Sandals/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=316360&cid=1931&clr=Brown&sh=0

Great Websites

There are tonnes of websites out there. Here are some of my favourites:

http://www.feelunique.com/ ( free delivery and cheaper make-up than RRP)

PS: bought 'The Goddess Guide' in Urban Outfitters the other day. It's such a good read (so far). Every page is beautiful. I'd definetely recommend it if you haven't already got it.

PSII: Louis Garrell
Edit: And before I forget one of my favourite vintage designer shops http://www.mensah.uk.com/. You can order stuff online. Brilliant.

Thoughts on Girls Aloud's attire...

So here we have my favourite girlband ever GA (minus the lovely Nadine Coyle) at an awards bash last night.

What are your thoughts on the outfits?

I like Kimberley's (far left) gorgeous hair colour against her skin tone with that lovely red lipstick. Her LBD accentuates her small waist. It's a safe little number she's rockin'. But get's my vote all the same.

Next, Sarah (short blonde hair, rock chick of the mighty famous five). I love, love the colour on her. Really suits her light skin tone and her white blonde hair. But it's like a towel, non?? It's just utterly shapeless. If a stylist give me that to wear for the night- I would need a waist belt.

Next (third from left) it's the gorgeous Cheryl. I think the dress is rather safe- she's not setting trends. It does the job. But for me it has that 'meh' factor. The grey/silver color of the dress does suit her though.

Finally, lovely Nicola with her pale skin and red hair. This is probably my favourite outfit. However the colour leaves a lot to be desired against her very pale skin. Nicola is the most fashion-forward here. I'm not sure if the white top underneath is with the dress- but it goes perfectly against the Chanel belt. I'm not normally one for Label label's i.e. "D&G" etc, but the Chanel belt is definetely acceptable. Thumbs up.

Which girl is wearing your fav outfit and why?

Me

Hello.

I guess I should introduce myself. I am Natalie. I'm 19 years of age and I'm studying politics at Uni. I spend so much time on the internet- usually browsing fashion etc (& gossipy websites). So I thought why not create my own fashion blog (&everything inbetween).

This blog is about you too. Please get involved; leave feedback, tips, links, stuff about yourself. It would be great if you could get involved too.

Hope everyone's having a happy Tuesday. The day of the Presidential Election in the USA!

Take care,
Natalie.X
