Say yes to embellishment/sequins
Sequins is still prominent in Balmain's fall collection (see video below for my favourite by a mile fall collection, so consistent). Also sequins and embellishment are featured in Gucci and Pradas' fall collections.

GMJ
Gerogia May Jagger sits front row at Vivienne Westwood A/W '09 Paris fashion week, Friday 6th March. Jagger called the display "amazing, one of her best ever." She was particularly hankering after the oversized tutus in dusty pink, one of which stood up in stiff ruffles in the back like a duck's bottom. Asked where she might wear such a piece, she responded, wistfully, "Anywhere, everywhere."

Tapered Trousers
I got my asos tapered trousers last week- just because I'm getting into more formal, power dressing. I didn't realise it was/is a significant trend until Whowhatwear made this post. Here are links (below) to pairs of tapered trousers on Topshop, asos and UrbanOutiftters (if you don't have the Phillip Lim budget). I think it is a great trend for trans-seasonal dressing. It's not too wintery or summery so it represents perfectly that change in weather when it's time to put away the scarf and gloves but not time for the Sunnies!

Photoshopping gone wrong!
I was bloody gobsmacked when I seen this picture of Helena Christensen that is in Aprils InStyle magazine. I happen to think that Helena is incredibly beautiful, dresses immensely and looks amazing for her age. So why make her look so awful and not even human-like? How can this actually get 'okayed' for a 'top' magazine? Shame on whoever phooshopped this! Seriously!
I had only ever read one interview with her before this interview (The Sunday Times Style magazine a couple of years ago) and as it turns out she seems an interesting person. Here are a few things she said:
"'I’ve never lived with anyone except my son. 'It’s not like I set out to live like that, but now it would be a big thing to move in with somebody.
'I’m used to my own place, my own things.
'But you know, if I met the right person, I’m sure I’d be like, "Move in tomorrow, put your things everywhere". That would probably work for a while and then I’d need a bit of balance!'

'Age in itself doesn’t freak me out. I’m in better shape than I was at 25 because I’m actually doing something physical, which I never did until two years ago because I was way too lazy.
'I try to go boxing twice a week and I run, but after exactly 21 minutes, I’m ready to lie down and vomit. I’m super-lucky with my metabolism.
'I eat more than anyone I know, so I have to be realistic – that might not always be the situation. 'That’s why I chose really intense training. It was a question of, if I want to continue eating that much, I need to balance it out."

My jackets
Since my sunglasses post I realised I can take pictures with my webcam which is actually in my laptop (if you get me). Sorry about the bad quality. I'm in my Uni house so this is my shabby wardrobe you can see (not that my wardrobe at home is much better). In fact you can't really see the jackets at all, but oh well!
The blogs that I enjoy most are those that mix up the posting to be about a variety of things. Only a handful of bloggers can get away with having every post a post about their outfit. In a personal context, I have only really posted about the stuff I have just bought. It's difficult when you don't have your own camera. Thouh I don't think anyone really reads this blog at all. Again: oh well!
